Munnar is situated in a Hill Station of Western Ghat, at an altitude of 1800m. The Munnar is famous for its tea plantations, established by the Scottish shekel. The tea bushes grow constantly, and young leaves are harvested every 15 days with scissors pocket.Every 5 years the bushes are trimmed, otherwise they would become trees.
